Timeline Tuesday - Part 5

This week, we're sharing our timeline for one month and two weeks before the wedding.  Check out Part 4 here, and happy planning!

1 Month Before:
Pick up your wedding rings, resize if necessary.
Compile information packages for out-of-town guests, including hotel information and things to do.  If you have a wedding website, post this information online.
Order out-of-town welcome baskets or start creating them yourself.
Have your final wedding gown fitting.  Get the gown pressed and bring home.
Verify that the bridesmaids dress and shoes are ready.
Have your florist provide you with a sample of the centerpiece, make any adjustments now.
Finalize your photography preferences, make a list of “must have” shots.  Get this information to the photographer.
Finalize music, create a “must play” song list and a “must not play” song list.  Get this information to the DJ.
Make sure wedding accessories and small décor items have been purchased.
       Obtain a marriage license.
       Pick up name-change forms.

2 Weeks Before:
Contact your officiant to take care of any details.
Determine the best place for a receiving line.
Submit an announcement to the newspaper, if you would like.
Call guests who did not RSVP to finalize number of guests.
Finalize reception seating chart and place cards.
       Shop for your honeymoon.
Get a pre-wedding haircut and colour touchup.
Wear your wedding day shoes around the house to break them in.
